This post is all about Winter Bucket List Ideas & How I’m Enjoying the Cold Months.
Hi friends! Today I wanted to share my Winter Bucket List. Over the past couple of years, I’ve really been leaning into a more seasonal lifestyle. I’ve started to create a bucket list for each season and it’s helped me be more intentional with my time. Winter is definitely a harder season because, depending on where you live, it can be so dang cold! For me, the cold is harder to deal with after the holidays but this year I am trying to truly enjoy every moment of winter.

One thing I love about Winter is that I get to spend a lot of my time inside. This means I can work on my home and take care of things that I’ve neglected over the summer. During the summer, I spend most of my time outside doing garden work and taking care of the animals. Winter is a time to hibernate inside and get caught up on home stuff. I have been doing a lot of painting, organizing and cleaning. I would love to get my house completely prepped for summer so I can put all my effort into my garden this year!

List of Home To Do’s for this Winter
- Finish my office (decorating & organizing)
- Paint the master bedroom bathroom
- Touch up paint jobs throughout the house
- Finish putting together the game room (painting & thrifted furniture)
- Plan out the vegetable and kitchen gardens
- Design and plan out the flowerbeds
- Possibly work on the mud room? Hmm…
Crafts I Would Like to Try!
- More bracelets!
- Clay Garden Markers
- Felt crafting of any kind
- Living Centerpiece
Books I’m Interested in Reading
- The Comfort of Crows, By Margaret Renkl
- Good Morning Holy Spirit, By Benny Hinn
- Real Food for Pregnancy, By Lily Nichols
- Habits of a Godly Woman, By Joyce Meyer
- Sabbath, By Wayne Muller

How I’m Enjoying the Cold & Dark Winter Months
- Staying off my phone and enjoying time at home– reading, crafting, cooking, baking, going to the gym, organizing, decorating & learning.
- Creating a cozy home as soon as it gets dark outside– lighting candles, turning on lamps, putting my phone away, cleaning my space & turning on some relaxing music.
- Going on a walk outside or to the gym when I’m in a rut– moving my body, experiencing a beautiful sunset & enjoying silence.
- Dinners at home with my husband– using recipes from my favorite cookbooks & eating at the dinner table with candles and old music on the record player.
- Getting up early before work– cozying up with coffee & my bible every morning at 5:20am, cuddling with my dogs & taking time to be intentional before my day starts.
- Taking care of my mind & body– eating nourishing meals, staying active, limiting social media, journaling, reading & prayer.
Recap:
I hope you enjoyed this post and it gave you some inspiration for these long winter months! I plan on spending most of my winter days in hibernation at home. Then hopefully I will emerge energized and ready for the beauty of spring. I would love to hear your goals and hopes for this winter, please feel free to leave a comment!
